About Me
My name is Christopher Boucher and I am a 2020 graduate of King's College, where I earned my bachelor's degree in English, Communications, and Creative Writing. During my undergraduate career, I have written as the entertainment manager in my college's newspaper, participated in our creative writing club, Cambion Society, and submitted samples of my works to our semester magazine, The SCOP. I have also had the privilege of co-authoring an essay with my professor, Dr. Robin Field, about superheroes and disabilities, to be included in a published collection in 2021. We presented our essay at the 2019 Popular Culture Association Expo. The summer before my senior year, I participated in the New York University Summer Publishing Institute, where I learned the fundamentals of magazine and book publishing. Currently, I live in my hometown of Allentown, Pennsylvania, where I work as a freelance reporter and photographer for the Lehigh Valley Press. I also work part-time as a bookseller at Barnes and Noble. In my spare time, I love to read books, play video games, and work on writing my first novel. My dream is to one day become a young-adult novelist, with books that are in the fantasy and science fiction genres respectively. I know one day I will get there!
